10 Must Have Firefox Add-Ons For Job Hunters

Online job search isn’t as easy as people make it sound. Sure, you get to sit at home and look for jobs as opposed to running around and dropping job applications door after door. But there is more to online job search than just filling out applications online. Job search is a job in itself. Whether online or offline, it’s  a hassle and a constant struggle trying to find jobs that suit your needs.

Couple weeks ago we did a post on LinkedIn Groups for Job Hunters which was taken very well by our readers. Today we are bringing you another resource that we hope will make online job searching easier for you. The add-ons below are firefox which as most of you already know is the best web browser out there. If you are not on firefox this resource is kind of meaningless. However, we strongly suggest that you use firefox since it has many add-ons that allows you to network and search for jobs faster and become more productive.

1. Twitter Job Search : The search plugin for TwitterJobSearch.com - the world’s first job search engine to harness the power of Twitter.

2. Percula : This extension allows straight forward searching from any web page in Monster’s large database of jobs. By integrating a direct search option in the right-click menu of your Firefox browser you’ll be able to look for any combination of words present in the page you are reading.

3. Easy Job Application : Easily send job applications using Gmail in websites like Craigslist.

4. Get Company Info : Highlight a company name on your page with the mouse, right-click and choose "Get Company Info". You will receive the latest financial data and other company information in a separate tab.

5. LinkedIn Companion : The Firefox Companion brings you immediate access to your LinkedIn network as you browse and read email. Find a job by seeing who in your network can connect you to hiring managers while you browse major on line job websites.

6. Indeed Job Search : Add Indeed Job Search to the Search Engine menu of your Firefox browser. After installing it, just select “Indeed Job Search” from the Search Engine menu in your Firefox browser. Type any keywords and a location and press Enter.

7. CraigZilla : Monitor any number of categories within Sales, Housing, Services, Jobs and Gigs on craigslist.

8. Jigsaw Company Search : Search Jigsaw for business Contacts and Company records from any Web site. Look for jobs, access financial information, and read the news with the Research Tab.

9. Autofill Forms : Autofill Forms enables you to fill out web forms with one click or a keyboard shortcut.

10. oDesk Job Watcher : A status bar add-on that updates every 5 minutes with the latest posted oDesk job opening. You can choose from hourly rate or fixed bid jobs.
